NICKEL PLATING
InterPRO offers nickel-coated prototypes, which are useful in testing environments where extra strength, chemical resistance, and/or temperature resistance are important. To produce the nickel coating, the part is electrically plated with a fine layer of copper. The copper acts as a base for the nickel coating, which is electroplated over the copper. The final thickness of the nickel coating is usually between 0.001" and 0.008", and is variable depending on your application requirements. The prototypes, made using SLA or Objet PolyJet, have the look and feel of metal parts.
